Part 2

In part 2, you will be given a topic that is being selected with the help of a card. You would have to speak on that topic which will come on your card. For this, you will be given a minute also to make some notes about that.

Then two minutes to speak on the given topic.

Part -3

In part 3, the examiner will ask you questions regarding the topic that you chose in part 2 . So, this would take in total 4 to 5 minutes to complete.

Tips about IELTS Speaking Test

Now, let me give you tips about the speaking part. So, the tips are:-

  • Don’t try to memorize answers. Try to make self answers then and there itself only. Because this will not leave a good impression on the examiner if you give memorized answers to the examiner.
  • Don’t use any difficult words. If you don’t know about their meaning and how to pronoun them, it better not to use them.
  • Take certain pauses on between during the right time. Don’t take too much pauses.
  • Don’t try to give answers in a yes or a no. The checker wants to check your English so write a good length of the answer.
  • Practice all the common IELTS topics that you think can come in the exam.
  • Don’t speak in a flat sound like in a monotone because the examiner won’t get what you are trying to say. Instead, explain your ideas and opinions in the best way possible. Emphasize all the important words. Give a break also whenever needed.
